CONWAY, S.C. -- Former Coastal Carolina University men's golfer Dustin Johnson tied for third at the 2010 Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Feb. 4-7. This was his first top-five finish of the season after tying for 16th in two of his previous three starts.

Johnson was the 36-hole leader at 11-under 131, but stumbled in the rain during the third round and shot a 3-over 74 to drop into a tie for fifth. However, the third-year professional rallied for a 5-under 66, with six birdies and just one bogey, to finish at 13-under 271 and tie with J.B. Holmes. He earned $371,200 for his tie for third. Steve Stricker won the tournament title with a 72-hole total of 16-under 268.

Johnson has now earned $566,450 in prize money in his four starts and is currently 14th in the FedEx Cup standings with 271 points.
