BATON ROUGE, La. - Andrew Dorn and Ben Wheeler are among the top five and the Coastal Carolina men's golf team stands in a tie for sixth after 36 holes Saturday at LSU's David Toms Intercollegiate. The event is played at the University Club, which was the site of last year's NCAA Regional CCU placed fifth and advanced to the NCAA Championship.

The Chanticleers carded rounds of 294-298 for a two-round total of 592, tying Iowa State for sixth. Southeastern Louisiana leads with a 6-under 570 after the first day.

Dorn turned in rounds of 71-71 for a 2-under 144 through 36 holes. The junior is in fourth and two shots off the lead, a 4-under 140 by Southeastern Louisiana's Eamon Bradley. Wheeler posted a 71-73 Saturday and his even-par round of 144 is good enough for a tie for fifth.

Freshman Christopher Williams is tied for 27th, shooting 74-75 for a 149. Redshirt freshman Josh Pisarri (79-79=158) and junior Peter Valasek (78-80=158) are tied for 63rd.

The event will conclude Sunday with 18 holes of competition.
