Ninty-Six - Coastal Carolina men's golf carded a second round 305 and has a two-day score of 600 to sit in sixth place at the 2011 Big South Championships, held at The Patriot Club's Grand Harbor Golf Course (par 72 - 7,113 yards).

The Chants were in third after round one. On Tuesday, day one leader Liberty and Gardner-Webb distanced themselves from the field. Liberty shot 11-under par 277 Tuesday and lead the field with a 36-hole score of 567. Gardner-Webb was three-under par Tuesday and have a score of 584.

Individually, Coastal is led by freshman Roberto Ballesteros, who shot 75 Tuesday. His two-round score of 148 puts Ballasteros in a tie for 11th. Tripp McAllister turned in Coastal's best score of the day with a two-over par 74, shaving four strokes off his first-round score. McAllister eagled the par-5 8th hole and was one-under par through 15 holes, but had a bogey on holes 16, 17 and 18 to finish +2. The redshirt junior has a 36-hole score of 152 and it tied for 20th. Also in a 152 and tied for 20th is Sebastian Soderberg. The two-time All-Big South honoree shot 81 Tuesday, after a first round one-under par 71.

Charlie Winegardner got off to a tough start with a double bogey on the second hole but had nine pars and two birdies over his next 11 holes to get to even par. However, bogeys on 14, 15 and 17 left the 2010 All-Big South honoree three-over. He is tied for 29th (79-75=154). Tied with Winegardner at 29th in Drew Ernst. After a 73 in round one, the junior shot 81 Tuesday for his two-round 154.

The 2011 Big South Championships will conclude Wednesday with 18 holes, starting at 8 am.
