San Jose del Cabo, Mexico - In a 14-team field that features eight of the nation's top 32 teams, Coastal Carolina stands in 10th place after round one score of 303 at the SMU Querencia Cabo Collegiate, played at the par 71, 6,928-yard Los Cabos Querencia Course

Host SMU, ranked 29th, and Houston, ranked 11th, are tied for the lead after 18 holes, each shooting a 4-over 288. Top-ranked Alabama is third (294), followed by #16 Vanderbilt (296), #28 Baylor (296), UT Arlington (296), #31 LSU (297), #32 Kentucky (298) and #17 Arkansas (299).

Freshman Olle Widegren and junior Ben Wheeler are tied for 27th, each carding a 4-over 75. Roberto Ballesteros, a native of Mexico, is one stroke behind an dis tied for 33rd after an opening-round 76. Andrew Dorn added a 77 and Christopher Williams shot 90.

The second round features 18 holes on Monday and the event concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
