Was Coastal's second finisher at the Gifford Collegiate, shooting rounds of 70 in rounds two and three for a 54-hole total of 8-over 218 and tying for 32nd ... Also carded a 70 in the second round of the SunTrust Gator Invitational ... Earned Dean's List for the Fall 2013 semester ... Prior to Coastal Carolina: Member of the Mexican National Junior Golf team ... Locally, plays for the Associacion de Golf del Valle de Mexico (AGVM), which won two national team championships ... Additionally trained at the Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy in Myrtle Beach ... Ruiz won the gold medal at the Mexican National Olympics with rounds of 68-67, won the Mexican Federation National Junior Tournament "Copa Centro" with rounds of 71-79-70 and placed fourth at the "I Copa Laguna" with rounds of 73-73-78 ...
