Head Coach Joe Moglia

Looking at your own team, all 5 of your offensive linemen have started every game. How fortunate is it that this team has avoided major injuries?
"It is very fortunate, and I am very pleased to be fortunate all of the time, but part of this happens when we practice we never go live. Our practices are usually short and crisp. At practice we talk about conditioning and in the off season taking care of yourself. That's all part of it. On top of that, we are also very fortunate."

Does it affect your defense in a way that they don't get that live contact at practice?
""You could argue that. You always want to balance (going live and not putting your players at risk for injury). Our tempo is always top speed."

Lorenzo Taliaferro set another record this past Saturday, how impressed are you with this guy?
"He brings it, but I am not surprised at that. The difference between last year and this year is just having a comfort with the system, getting spring ball and all of last season under his belt. Lorenzo is a very hard worker. He is smart. He understands what his job is and he knows how to execute. He does everything else when he is not carrying the ball. He works hard and deserves all of the accolades that he is getting in the success that he has had."

What have you made of [Charlotte's] inconsistencies? They've beaten Gardner-Webb one week, and lost to Pembroke the next week?
"You have breakdowns (during the course of a football game). When they make the right reads and they execute, they are very effective on offense. There's been some inconsistency, but each game you get a little bit better and you learn from your mistakes. They've got eight games under their belt and are getting a little better each week. That doesn't mean they can't have a great game or a game off, but this is a real program."

Junior center Kevin Hart

What is your overall impression of Charlotte defense?
"They are a good football team. They are young, so they are going to make a few mistakes. Overall, they are good on defense. It's going to be a tough game"

Junior safety Pernell Williams

You got to start last week. What has it been like to for you having to wait your turn after not starting last year?
""It's been a great season. You just have to face adversity and always be positive with things out there on the field. Once the opportunity was given to me, I wanted to fulfill it.""

What about their offense stands out? "They are a very high tempo team. Their quarterback makes a lot of reads, so we will have to make great reads too. We have to be discipline because he might throw a slant behind us in the secondary or he may run a post behind us. So we have to be really sound in our reads and make great plays."
