CCU vs Georgia State
• This will be the first meeting between Coastal and Georgia State.
• Prior to this season, Coastal had played only two Sun Belt members, Appalachian State and Georgia Southern when CCU, the Mountaineers and Eagles were members of the FCS. Coastal is 0-3 versus both App State and Georgia Southern.

CCU Hosts Family Weekend
• The Georgia State game will be the culmination of Family Weekend on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.
• Each year, Family Weekend marks the largest crowds at Brooks Stadium, including three of the facility’s top six crowds before expansion to the stadium this season.
• The Family Weekend crowds in both 2015 and 2016 of 10,311 were the absolute capacity of Brooks Stadium. In 2014, Family Weekend brought 10.124 fans to Brooks Stadium.

CCU’s 1st Home Sun Belt Football Game
• While this is Coastal football’s first go around in the Sun Belt, the program has traditionally had success when playing its first home conference game. The Chanticleers have won its last three conference home openers and are 9-4 in such games all time. (Coastal was a member of the Big South Conference from 2003-15.)
