Head Coach Joe Moglia

Opening statement about Elon:
"Elon is a team with a great tradition. They have a lot to be proud of. While they have had a little bit of a rough start, they had a great game a week ago against Appalachian State. From a Defensive prospective, they started slow but they have 9 starters back and they were pretty effective last week. They have significantly improved. We will have to make sure we are sharp offensively to take advantage. From an offensive prospective their quarterback, Quinn really has a excellent arm. He throws the ball very well. Bottom line is, if we're not effective stopping the run, then they're going to have the ability to either run or throw the ball. That's going to put our defense under a tremendous amount of pressure. We have to make sure we're sound in those areas."

On Playing on the Road:
"While I always prefer to play at home, I've never been overly concerned about a road atmosphere. We're going to always play half of our games on the road so we have to be ready to play on the road. So we don't even think in terms of road or home. We don't even talk about it. We won't even think about it until we talk about the schedule in terms of the actual weekend. I am more confident in the team today because we are four weeks into this season and that means we have four more weeks preparation and development under our belt. So we're four weeks more experienced than we were a few weeks ago. I am proud of the teams effort four weeks ago, I am proud of the teams effort today, and we are improving as a football team. So I feel good about all of those things."

On Coastal's growth in the secondary:
"I think they're doing a good job. I still think we're young and I think we still make mistakes. So, we're not where we're hoping we have to be able to get to, but I think we are improving. The secondary of our pass defense is coming along, it's improving. We have to do a better job of being consistent. We are getting better at certain things, but we're still not where we need to be."

Senior wide receiver DeMario Bennett

On possibly playing without Matt Hazel:
"We don't prepare any different depending on if our starting guy is playing or not because we have pretty good back-ups. When one guy goes down, the back-ups are good enough. We talk about making plays. We call ourselves the "YAC [Yards After Catch] 4" because we try to turn a five yard catch into a 55 yard touchdown. So, we don't focus on one guy being out because everyone is good enough to make plays."

On talk of this team being the best in school history:
"As a team, you always want to be known as one of the best, so we just prepare for one game at a time. As our coaches say, just do your job. We don't prepare ourselves any different than a 0-4 team. We prepare as if we are playing the number one team in the nation."

On following the rankings:
"We don't really pay much attention to it. We just focus on what we are doing. We say if we are playing our game, we feel like no one can stop us."
