The ninth year of Coastal Carolina football will bring some changes in hopes of increasing the fan-friendly atmosphere the Chanticleer faithful have come to enjoy on gamedays. There will be a new student tailgate area called "Chantourage Alley" closer to Brooks Stadium, a new Chauncey Shuttle system and new gates for students, the Coastal Carolina player pass list and Family Zone patrons.

First, it is important to note that ticket sales will begin on gameday will generate from Brooks Stadium four hours prior to kickoff, lasting through the third quarter, and all gates, as well as Will Call, will open at 90 minutes prior to kickoff. For this Saturday's game with Furman, the ticket off will open at 2 pm with gates opening at 4:30 pm.
In an attempt to get the students more involved and give the campus a more collegiate gameday experience, the new "Chantourage Alley" has been created from Tom Trout Drive to the CCU Track and Field complex. As a result, fans will no longer be able to drive down Chanticleer Boulevard West from University Boulevard to the end of the student tailgate area.
Chanticleer fans of all ages are invited to enjoy food, fellowship and festivities prior to each home football game in designated areas. For individuals of legal age, alcohol may be permitted. However, consumption of alcoholic beverages on campus is not permitted until four hours prior to Coastal's kickoff, tailgating will end 15 minutes prior to kickoff and postgame tailgating will be limited to one hour.
In an effort to assist those parking in the out-lying areas, Coastal Carolina will provide courtesy shuttles for those in need as well as provide the Chauncey Shuttle. This service will begin three hours prior to kickoff and run until one hour after the conclusion of the game. The Chauncey Shuttle will run a designated route down University Boulevard and Chanticleer Drive East. Pick-up locations will be clearly marked.
Last, there have been three major gate changes have been implemented for the 2011 football season.
- All students will now enter Gate 1 and have the entire north endzone section of Brooks Stadium.
- The Coastal Carolina player pass list will now be at Gate 3.
- The Family Zone, which has moved to the east side of the stadium, ticket holders will proceed down University Boulevard, along the sidewalk behind the scoreboard, and enter through Gate 6. There will be family friendly activities, as well as concessions and merchandise, in and around that area as well.
