CONWAY - Coastal Carolina University's Department of Athletics and HTC have partnered to offer Chanticleer fans a new premium content service that will provide highlights and commentary of over 75 home athletic contests.
Beginning Sept. 4, "Chanticleer Replay" will air video highlights and interviews on HTC Digital Cable Channel 4, in addition to the roll-out of a new Chanticleer Athletics category within the HTC On-Demand menu called the "Coastal Zone."
"We are excited about this opportunity," said Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek. "HTC's resources will allow us to offer our fans a significant amount of additional programming and is consistent with the quickly-changing demands of college athletics. Instead of being confined to thirty minutes each week, CCU fans can follow their Chanticleers 24/7. This package also offers many expansion opportunities and our future goals include the addition of road football games."
"Chanticleer Replay" will feature three re-broadcasts of home football games via HTC Channel 4 on Tuesdays at 10:00 pm and again on Thursdays at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. The games can be viewed anytime on HTC Digital Cable's On-Demand service via the "Coastal Zone" after their re-broadcast on Channel 4.
Programming will include highlights from home football games featuring a majority of the game broadcast complete with Chanticleer Sports Network audio. The replays will also include the post-game press conference featuring head coach Joe Moglia and selected players.
In addition to football, "Chanticleer Replay" will showcase all CCU home men's basketball contests two days after each game, complete with head Coach Cliff Ellis and student-athlete interviews. Also, all CCU athletic home events produced via www.goccusports.com and www.bigsouthsports.com will be available on-demand in the Coastal Zone.
In addition to games, "Chanticleer Call-In" will be re-broadcast in its entirety. The show originates from Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest each Monday from 6-7 p.m. and is heard locally on ESPN Radio 100.3, The Team. Fans are encouraged to attend in person, but those unable to catch the show can watch Coach Moglia and the Voice of the Chanticleers Matt Hogue discuss Chanticleer football via "Chanticleer Replay" at 9:00 p.m. Thursdays on HTC Channel 4.
"Bringing this new, exclusive level of CCU sports and other on-campus programs to HTC members is another example of the great partnership that we have with CCU.," says Brent Groome, Chief Executive of Customer Operations for HTC, "This is a super opportunity to showcase exciting local content on HTC Digital Cable. We think this is just the beginning of a new way to offer CCU fans multiple outlets to follow the Chanticleers."
