Head Coach Joe Moglia

How would you assess the progress of some of the guys that you said needed to take on advanced role this year?
"I don't think that there is anybody on our team that is not a little better than they were a year ago this time of the season. Now, we are not doing game speed and you are not quite battle tested, so you get a little sharper when you get the games under your belt."

Coach you talked a little about the triple option. Talk a little more about what you plan to do to combat that because that is the offense a lot of these military schools use and Georgia Southern used it to stun Florida last year, so anything can happen.
"I don't think that there is any question that anything could happen and we are very well aware of that. They are going to execute that very well. Our offense and our scout teams don't execute The Citadel's offense as well as the Citadel is going to. So I think we have a pretty good understanding in terms of whose responsibilities, but they are going to run their offense better that our scout team. Our defense can make a small mistake right now and get away with it, but come Saturday, a small mistake will result in a big play for The Citadel. I think we have a reasonable understanding of (defending the option)."

Senior Offensive-Lineman Chad Hamilton

Take us through CCU and The Citadel meeting for the first time and the pride that is on the line there.
"The Citadel has a great program. It has a lot of great history. Coastal and The Citadel meeting up for the first time, it's just great. I mean I'm excited to play The Citadel. I got recruited by The Citadel. They're a great team, but I chose to come to Coastal. It's just a great thing to play them."

Can you talk about the general excitement? You are finally getting the season started and especially after the high expectations from last year's success.
"We have a lot of expectations and we have a lot of accolades. We appreciate these accolades but we have to go out and prove it. It doesn't mean anything until you actually prove it. So we have been, busting our butts during the summer and during camp. Now we are just ready to get things rolling."

Senior Defensive-Back Pernell Williams

What is an off season like in preparation coming off of the best season ever?
"I would say it's the different faces. It's a different year. You just have to try and get all the new guys to understand the program and buy into it. The offseason is very intense. We want to go after (a national championship) by getting guys on point and we want (the young) guys to learn right away."
