CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina University Department of Athletics seeks to assure that each fan and visitor will have an excellent game day experience - from the moment they turn onto campus until the time they leave.

To that end, and with input from fans through the 54-in-54 initiative, some changes have been implemented for home game days for the 2012 Football season. Following are some highlights that will impact Chanticleer fans:

New walkway to Brooks Stadium
With the start of construction for the new Baseball/Softball Complex, the popular walkway for fans between the baseball and softball fields from Chanticleer Drive West to Brooks Stadium has been closed. Fans and visitors should use either the sidewalk on University Boulevard or the sidewalk beside the Boni Bell Hitting/Practice Facility. Another option is the walkway that begins on Chanticleer Drive West near the track, continues along the edge of the practice fields and crosses a bridge to approach Brooks Stadium in the Fan Fest area.

Chanticleer Gear
The Coastal Carolina University Bookstore - now called the Chanticleer Store - has moved from Baxley Hall to The HTC Center on Founders Drive. Time-limited parking will be available for fans purchasing Chanticleer Gear prior to the game.

Chanticleer Gear merchandise will continue to be available in Brooks Stadium 90 minutes prior to kickoff and 30 minutes following the game. The main stand is located under the East Stands behind the food concessions and satellite locations are behind the West Stands near the Family Zone.

New Ticket System

• Tickets Online
Tickets are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on GoCCUSports.com. There is an option to print tickets at home to avoid waiting in line at Will Call. The new ticketing system allows fans to email their tickets to friends if they are unable to attend a game. For more information contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 843-347-8499.

• Season Ticket Cards
For season ticket holders, new Season Ticket Cards have replaced traditional ticket stock. The new ticketing system allows season ticket holders to simply have their card scanned for entry to Brooks Stadium. If season ticket holders are unable to attend a game, the system allows them to email their tickets to friends or return them to the University to be offered to area not-for-profit groups. For more information contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 843-347-8499.

Dedicated Handicapped Parking Lot
This year, Lot B in front of the Wall College of Business will be reserved specifically for vehicles with a handicapped tag. Shuttles and/or golf carts will be available to transport handicapped and special needs fans from the lot to and from Brooks Stadium.

For Students
• Tailgating
The student parking and tailgate area - Chantourage Alley - has been expanded this year. It is located between the Williams-Brice Building/Kimbel Gymnasium and the College of Humanities on Chanticleer Drive West. Students will enter the area from University Boulevard at the traffic light to Chanticleer Drive West. Because the area is designated for student parking only, an attendant will ask to see student IDs to drive into the area. From Chantourage Alley, students will be able walk around the softball outfield fence and between the softball field and tennis complex to reach Brooks Stadium.

• Student Ticket System
Students can now reserve their tickets online and their university ID will replace paper tickets. Students will have to bring their ID to the game and have the card swiped to enter Brooks Stadium at Gate 1.

• Student Rewards
A new Student Rewards Program allows students to earn points for attending football games and other designated athletic events. The more events attended and points earned, the better chances students will have to win prizes throughout the year. Students will receive additional points for staying through the fourth quarter of football games, providing they have their ID swiped when they enter and exit Brooks Stadium at Gate I.
