CONWAY, SC -- Coastal Carolina's football team was forced to move inside for practice, Aug. 23, after thunderstorms in the Conway area created unsafe conditions for outside workouts. However, the Chanticleers moved inside CCU's Williams-Brice Center and still worked to make something out of the day, with just 11 days until the season opener at Elon, Sept. 3.
"We weren't able to do much at all due to the weather," CCU head coach David Bennett said. "We did the best we could and did some conditioning in the gym after some team runs. We got a little bit done, but it we were limited in what we could do today, though we did go for about an hour and 20 minutes. It was just one of those days."
