Football to Hold Final Scrimmage and Host Fan Appreciation Day Aug. 22

Chanticleers to hold final fall scrimmage and then the inaugural Fan Appreciation Day this Saturday.

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University football program will hold its final scrimmage of the fall followed by Fan Appreciation Day this Saturday, Aug. 22 at Brooks Stadium.

The Chanticleers will have their final scrimmage of the fall at 10 a.m. in their home stadium. Following the scrimmage, food will be available from Chick-fil-a, Rotelli, Bojangles and Aramark and apparel will be available for purchase as well as free t-shirts to the first 100 fans. There will also be an information booth available for becoming a member of the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation. The 2009 football squad will be available at a meet-and-greet at 1:15 p.m., as will the the Coastal Carolina cheerleaders and mascot. There will also be the Spirt of the Chanticleer with a performance, as well as other fun for the kids.
