CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina's football team wrapped up their final two-a-day session with a morning practice followed by a spirited evening workout, Mon., Aug. 14.
In the evening session, the Chanticleers went for one hour and 40 minutes and, after individual drills, went through a 7-on-7 workout wrapping up with 11-on-11 scrimmaging. After practice, CCU head coach David Bennett felt like progress was made over the last several days and it showed in the 11-on-11 drills.
"The offense has definitely improved," Bennett commented. "We still have a ways to go to be ready for that game on Sept. 2 against Elon, but we have made some strides since Saturday."
The Chants will wrap up their preseason camp with one final practice, Tue., Aug. 15 at 3:50 p.m. Classes start at CCU on Wed., Aug. 16, when Coastal will start regular practice sessions.
