Football Puts In Two-Hour Practice on Monday

The Coastal Carolina University football team went through a two-hour practice Monday, Aug. 13, working on seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 situtations.  Coastal also went through position drills and worked on punt and punt rush.  Coastal head coach David Bennett was pleased with the offensive effort in the latter half of practice.

:"We did good out in the warmth," Bennett said.  "Offense got better today, not in the run portion, but in the throwing and the skeletons.  Offense had their best day of practice today, which means the defense backslid a little bit.  We need to get them both up, but I'm glad to see the offense do better today.

Coastal wiil practice twice on Tuesday, going at 9:15 a.m., and 6:45 p.m.  The second scrimmage of the 2007 season will take place Wednesday starting at 9:30 a.m., at Brooks Stadium.
