Football Camp Day 13: Coastal continues to work toward season opener

         The Coastal Carolina University football team had a short nine period practice on Sunday, August 13, the day after its first scrimmage.  The Chanticleers worked on various individual drills before going 11-on-11 and 7-on-7.  More position drills followed with a focus on special teams work and practice wrapped up with group work and some light sprints.     “We need to execute our offense more efficiently and be more consistent,” Head Coach David Bennett said.  “I’m anxious for Wednesday’s scrimmage/practice to see if the offense can step it up and if the defense can maintain the intensity.”    The Chanticleers continue their two-a-day sessions starting early on Monday, August 14 for a 6 a.m. practice.
