Football To Be Televised Twice In 2009 Season

Chanticleers will have road games at Liberty and at Stony Brook on the tube

CONWAY, S.C. -- The Coastal Carolina University football team will have two games televised as part of the Big South Conference's 2009 television package, the League announced today.

The Chanticleers will have their first television game on Saturday, Oct. 17, as the clash with two-time defending champion Liberty will be on the Flames Sports Network live at 3:30 p.m. Coastal Carolina heads to New York for its first trip to Stony Brook on Saturday, Oct. 24. The game with Seawolves has been moved up to 3:30 p.m. to accomodate the MASN time slot. Work is currently being done to have both games aired in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area.

Coastal Carolina reported for camp yesterday and will have its first practice in helmets tomorrow, Aug. 4, at 9 a.m. The Chants open the 2009 season at Kent State Thu., Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
