CONWAY - The Big South Conference announced today its football television partnership with the recently formed American Sports Network (ASN), and Coastal Carolina will be making three appearances on the new regional network. To accommodate ASN, Coastal Carolina is changing the starting time for two home games - hosting Elon on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. and Charleston Southern on Oct. 25 for Homecoming at 3:30 p.m.
In addition, Coastal's road game at Gardner-Webb on Nov. 1 will be telecast on ASN with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m.
The Chanticleer football program is also set to have three games broadcast on ESPN3, including a road game at Presbyterian College (Oct. 11 at 2 p.m.) as well as the final two regular-season games at home versus Monmouth (Nov. 15 at 3 p.m.) and Liberty (Nov. 22 at 1 p.m.).
Coastal Carolina will begin preparation for the 2014 season with its first official practice tomorrow (July 31). The Chanticleers will open the 2014 season with road games at The Citadel (Aug. 30) and at North Carolina A&T (Sept. 6) before playing its home opener Sept. 13 versus South Carolina State at 6 p.m.
