Coastal opens the season Aug. 30 at The Citadel. This will mark the seventh time CCU has opened a season on the road and the first time the Chanticleers and Bulldogs have met on the gridiron.
Following the opener, the Chants will play three straight games versus MEAC programs, including the Chanticleers' home opener versus South Carolina State on Sept. 13, which will be the culmination of CCU's Family Weekend. Coastal will then play return games versus SoCon foes Elon at home Sept. 20 and Furman on the road Oct. 4.
Coastal begins its defense of the Big South Championship Oct. 11 at Presbyterian College ahead of a bye week. The Chants will close the season playing three of their final five regular-season contests at home. Breaking from the recent Big South rotation, Coastal will host Charleston Southern Oct. 25 for Homecoming and Sasser Athletics Hall of Fame Weekend; host new member Monmouth Nov. 15; and close the regular season Nov. 22 with Liberty, with whom CCU has shared the league title the last two seasons.
