CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina football team will conclude four weeks of practice with the annual Teal-Black Spring Game on Saturday, April 2, at Brooks Stadium.
Gates open at 11 am and admission is free with the game set to begin at Noon. Fans may also purchase food and drinks at the concession stands. Also for the fans, there will be inflatables outside the stadium from 11 am until 3 pm, leading into the ESPNU national telecast of the Coastal Carolina-Liberty baseball game, which starts at 4 pm. (Note, at the baseball game, the first 300 fans to enter will receive a complimentary mini bat and ball keychains compliments of WBTW Channel 13. Also, thundersticks will be given out prior to the game.)
While the 2011 football season ticket plans are still be finalized, members of the ticket office and marketing staffs will be on hand to answer your questions about purchasing 2011 season football tickets.
The format of the game will be the defense (Teal) with guest coach Dr. Joe Mazurkiewicz vs. offense (Black) with guest coach Andy Hendrick. The teams will play four, 15-minute quarters with a running clock, except for the final two minutes of each half.
The offense will score by the following methods:
Touchdown - 6 points
Field Goal - 3 points
Run of 15 or more yards - 3 points
Pass completion of 20 or more yards - 3 points
2-point conversion - 2 points
Extra Point - 1 point
The defense will score by the following methods:
Touchdown - 6 points
Turnover - 4 points
3 Plays & Out - 3 points
Blocked Field Goal - 3 points
Drive ending with Punt - 2 points
Sack - 2 points
Tackle for Loss - 2 points
Force a Fumble - 1 point
Blocked Extra Point - 1 point
