Nicholas Clark to Serve on NCAA Committee
CONWAY - Nicholas Clark, a rising senior on the Coastal Carolina football team, has been appointed to serve on the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Clark currently serves as the SAAC president for both the Sun Belt Conference and Coastal Carolina University. He is the first Chanticleer to be an NCAA SAAC representative.
Clark will be a voice for all NCAA student-athletes and provide insight on the student-athlete experience. He will also offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on campus.
The function of the NCAA SAAC is to generate a student-athlete voice within the NCAA structure; solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation; recommend potential NCAA legislation; review, react and comment to the governance structure on legislation, activities and subjects of interest; actively participate in the administrative process of athletics programs and the NCAA and promote a positive student-athlete image.
Clark has a distinguished career of leadership during his three seasons at Coastal. He is three-year member of Coastal Carolina's SAAC and served as its vice president this prior to ascending to president last season. Clark additionally serves on the Coastal Carolina football Leadership Council and was selected to attend the seventh annual NCAA Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, Ind., this past June.
