CONWAY - Charleston Southern at Coastal Carolina
Nov. 17, 2012
Conway, S.C. | Brooks Stadium - Benton Field
Coastal Carolina head coach Joe Moglia
You got the trophy and the Gatorade bath... was this the moment you dreamed of when you got back into coaching?
Moglia: Yeah that's the case. We say just take it a game at a time, but there's still the dream out there to compete one day for the national championship. When you get the opportunity to live your dream, to do what you truly believe you can do, it's a great moment. I couldn't be happier or prouder of our school, our players, our coaching staff, Hunter Yurachek, and Dr. DeCenzo for giving me the opportunity to come in here and represent Coastal. I'm a little overwhelmed right now and it hasn't quite hit me yet but the fact that we were able to win the conference title and get to the playoffs, we're incredibly proud of that.
Charleston Southern head coach Jay Mills
Opening Statement: "First off I'd like to congratulate Coastal on their season and their Big South Championship. You have to give them a lot of credit for the way they bounced back after their loss to Stony Brook earlier in the season. They were able to turn things around and it worked out for them."
"In tonight's game we didn't see the consistency that we would have liked. We turned the ball over in the first half and we missed a couple great scoring opportunities in the first half as well. Part of it had to do with our opponent, the other part is that we didn't come out and play as well as we would have hoped. But again I give a lot of credit to Coastal and the way they performed overall."
