CCU's defense pitched a second-half shutout for the second straight week

Is the Big South careerleader in interceptions with 13... Ranks third in CCU career, and first among defensive backs, with 146 tackles entering his finals season... Earned back his final year of eligibility in the classroom...

2005: Started in all 11 games during the 2005 season... Ranked fifth among league defensive backs with 66 tackles for the year, 38 of them solo, and a league-high five interceptions, earning First Team All-Big South honors for the second straight year... Was also named First Team All-Southeast Region and Region Defensive Back of the Year by Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette... Set a new career best with 11 tackles at Appalachian State, four solo, along with one forced fumble... Matched that career high at South Carolina State with 11 tackles, nine of them solo, and one interception... Recorded nine tackles each in the wins over James Madison and at Liberty... At Savannah State had an interception for 74 yards and one quarterback hurry... Blocked kicks against Mansfield and at Charleston Southern... 2004: Started all 11 games his junior season... Was named First Team All-Big South Conference and earned Third Team All-Eastern Region honors from National Weekly Football Gazette... Ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 50 and led Coastal and the Big South in interceptions with six... His interception per game average of 0.55 ranked 12th nationally in I-AA... Ranked second in the Big South in passes defended with 18... Posted career bests of eight solo tackles and 10 total tackles and added an interception in the Big South title victory over Charleston Southern... Opened the season with two picks at Morehead State... Had five or more tackles in six games, including seven each at Newberry and against Savannah State...

2003: Played in 10 games his first season at CCU, starting in three of them... Recorded 30 total tackles, 24 of them solo, along with a pair of interceptions and five pass breakups... Had CCU's first-ever pass interception in the opener against Newberry... Recorded his best defensive game of the year in the victory at Charleston Southern, making six tackles and intercepting a pass... Had three or more tackles in seven games... One of Coastal's inaugural recruiting class, but could not practice during the 2002-03 season with the squad...

High School: Helped Marlboro County to the Division II 4A regional and state championships his senior year... Earned All-Area, All-Zone, All-Region, and All-State honors and had 136 tackles and eight interceptions... Played in the 2001 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas... Tallied 84 tackles and three interceptions as a junior and helped the Bulldogs to the regional championship, earning All-Region honors... Also had 19 catches for 476 yards and nine touchdowns at the wide receiver spot his senior year...
