Jamie Snider is in his eighth year on the coaching staff at Coastal Carolina University, where he works with the offensive line.

As offensive coordinator, Snider helped guide the Chanticleers to three consecutive Big South Conference Championships, the program's first appearance in the Division I Playoffs, a combined 28-6 overall record and top-25 rankings in three major national polls in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He also has three Coastal Carolina players currently in the National Football League, with Tyler Thigpen (Kansas City Chiefs) joined by 2008 second round pick Jerome Simpson (Cincinnati Bengals) and 2008 starter Mike Tolbert (San Diego Chargers).

The 2006 squad set Big South records in 11 different categories, including total offense, offensive touchdowns, passing yards and passing yards per completion. In 2004, Coastal Carolina ranked fifth in I-AA in rushing offense, fifth in scoring offense and first in turnover margin. Snider's offense also set numerous Big South Conference single-season team and individual records during the 2004 season, including points scored, scoring average, rushing offense, offensive touchdowns, red zone offense and fewest sacks allowed. For his efforts, Snider, along with defensive coordinator Curtis Walker, was honored by the All-American Football Foundation with the 2004 Mike Campbell Top Assistant Coaches Award.

The 40-year-old Snider has direct ties with Head Coach David Bennett, serving on the football staff at Catawba College for 14 seasons prior to joining the staff at Coastal Carolina. Snider started his tenure at Catawba as a student assistant from 1988-91, after playing one season for the Indians. After leaving the program for a year, he returned as an assistant offensive line coach for one year and then was the offensive line coach for three seasons, before adding the offensive coordinator role in 1995. In his final six seasons at Catawba as the coordinator, he helped guide the program to three NCAA Division II playoff appearances and a berth in the national semifinal in 2001. His offense ranked 25th in the nation in scoring in 2000 and 27th nationally in 2001, while helping the program to three South Atlantic Conference titles in 1996, 2000 and 2001. He also served as recruiting coordinator for four years, bringing in classes that improved the program from 2-9 in 1994 to a combined 30-11 for the 1995-98 seasons.

A 1991 graduate of Catawba, Snider earned his bachelor's degree in history with a secondary education certification. As a student, he was a member of the Dean's List and also Kappa Delta Pi, the education honor society.

A native of Yadkinville, N.C., Snider was a three-sport standout at Forbush High School, earning letters in football, wrestling and track, earning All-Conference accolades in football and wrestling. As a senior, he was named the Most Valuable Player on the football and wrestling teams and earned the school's Male Athlete of the Year honor in 1987.
