2012 (Jr.): Named second team All-Big South , playing alongside 2012 Big South Defensive Player of the Year Quinn Backus ... Was a game captain for the Appalachian State and Presbyterian games ... Selected the team's Defensive MVP for the VMI contest (even though Backus was the Big South Defensive Player of the Week) ... Ranked fifth in the Big South for tackles (7.08) ... His 92 tackles rank ninth on the CCU single-season list, while his 59 assisted stops ranks third ... Led the team with 8.5 tackles for loss ... Had 3.5 TFL in the opener, tying a CCU single-game record ... In addition to his CCU record tying 3.5 TFL in the opener, McClure led the Chants with 12 overall tackles ... Made a critical play in the Furman game ... After the Paladins scored with 7:56 left, McClure picked off the ensuing two-point try and raced 100 yards to give CCU a seven-point lead ... Overall, had seven tackles at Furman, including 1.0 TFL ... Led the team with 10 stops versus Eastern Kentucky ... Tallied 11 stops at Toledo ... Ranked ninth of the team with 36 tackles, including two for losses, with a fumble recovery and fumble caused ... Opened the season getting three tackles, including a TFL, with a forced fumble and a pass breakup ... Turned in a career-high eight tackles, including a TFL, versus Gardner-Webb ... Credited with six stops, including five solo, versus Presbyterian ... Had a fumble recovery at Charleston Southern, which led to a 14-point CCU lead and the eventual game-winning score.
2010 (Fr.): Burned a redshirt, playing the final seven games of the season ... Coaches made the decision due to his ability combined with some injuries ... Prior to Coastal Carolina: Named to the All-Region team his senior year as well as being selected to play in the SCADA North-South game ... Recorded 143 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception his final season, leading the squad to a Region 4-AAAA Championship and an 11-1 mark overall ... A three-year starter for the Class AAAA Bearcats, playing both inside and outside linebacker.
