Named Academic All-Big South, having a 3.86 GPA in Middle Grades Education ... Started all 12 games, successfully making the move from corner to safety ... Ranked third (tied) on the team and 17th (tied) in the Big South in tackles (67 total, 5.58 avg.) ... Added 3.5 TFL, two INTs, three PBU and a forced fumble ... Started the season with six stops at West Virginia and seven at Towson, adding a pick versus the Tigers ... Forced a fumble versus Georgia Southern ... Tallied six tackles with a PBU at Richmond ... Had 16 solo and 35 total tackles on the year, along with 0.5 tackles for loss, one interception and five pass breakups ... His 35 total tackles tied for ninth on the squad ... Had his best game of the year in a road win at Gardner-Webb, posting six tackles (three solos), one interception returned for 20 yards and three pass breakups ... Prior to Coastal Carolina: Named Class AAA All-State Team by High School Sports Report and Honorable Mention All-State by The State ... Also picked to play in the North-South All-Star Game at Brooks Stadium after leading Union to the Upper State Championship game, as well as earning Spartanburg Herald-Journal All-Area First Team honors ...
