High School: Was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Greater Atlanta Christian, leading them to a fifth-place finish in the Division AA playoffs in 2004 and a quarterfinal berth in 2003... Started at tight end and was named Class AA First Team All-State by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after recording 34 catches for 490 yards and six touchdowns while serving as the team captain his senior season... Honorable Mention Class AA All-State selection by the Georgia Sports Writers Association... Earned First Team All-County honors as well... Played on the defensive side of the ball as well, starting at defensive end his final two years and recording 58 tackles... Also was a pitcher and outfielder for the Spartans, earning three letters...
