Played in nine games (really just eight, getting just two snaps at West Virginia), starting three as he battled injuries ... Finished the season with 24 tackles, including 2.5 for losses and 1.5 sacks ... Missed the first three games as he injured his thumb on his second snap of 2010 at West Virginia ... In his first start of 2010, named Big South Defensive Player of the Week, despite playing just one half at Presbyterian as he missed the second half with an injury ... Prior to Coastal Carolina: Was a Virginia High School Coaches Association, Associated Press and VirginiaPreps.com Group AAA First Team All-State honoree ... Also named the Richmond Times-Dispatch Regional Player of the Year, Colonial District Player of the Year and All-Region after recording 55 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks, three forced fumbles and blocked a punt ... Led the Panthers to an 11-2 overall record and a Colonial AAA District title with a 7-0 mark as well as a Central Regional title and a berth in the Group AAA State Semifinals in 2007 ... Finished as the Panthers' career sacks leader ... Was a Second Team All-District defensive end his junior season ... Also caught 21 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns at wide receiver ... Played basketball as a sophomore for the Panthers.
