2011 (Jr.): Named first team All-Big South ... Battled a hamstring injury throughout the year, but still played in all 11 games, starting nine ... Ranked fourth on the team with 46 tackles, while tallying a team-high 10 tackles for loss .... After getting 12 tackles in the first two games, including 3.0 TFL and leading the team with nine stops versus Catawba, he would only get 12 tackles over his next five games combined being slowed by the injury ... However, over his last four games, had 21 stops, including a team-best seven tackles in the Presbyterian win ... Added six stops with 2.0 TFL at Stony Brook and registered four tackles, including a sack, in the win at Charleston Southern ... Ended the season with two TFL, including a sack, at Western Carolina.
2010 (So.): Named the 2010 Big South Defensive Player of the Year ... Also tabbed first team All-Big South ... Finished the regular-season ranked second in the Big South with a career-high 104 tackles - third-most on the CCU single-season list - (8.7 per game), having ranked first (eight weeks) or second (four weeks) in the conference in tackles all season ... Also recorded 12.0 tackles for losses (tied for third-best in the Big South in 2010 and tied for third on the CCU single-season list) and two sacks on the year ... Named Big South Defensive Player of the Week for Week 10 against VMI, getting eight tackles adding a sack and pass break-up ... Made two big tackles during a drive which VMI had its best opportunity to score a touchdown ... First, he had a sack during the drive ... Then, on fourth and one from the CCU two, Jacobs dropped Chaz Jones for no gain, keeping the score 24-3 ... It marked the first time Coastal held an opponent to as little as three points since a 31-3 win over Towson (Sept. 20,. 2008, a 29-game span) ... Coastal's defense allowed a season-low 199 yards of total offense with 118 of those 199 yards coming on VMI's first four drives ... Also, of VMI's final 11 drives, Coastal defense forced a punt nine times, got a turnover on downs one time and returned an interception for a touchdown once ... Posted five double-digit tackle games, including a career-high 14 at then-No. 11 Richmond with a force fumble ... Recorded 13 stops (nine solo) against Georgia Southern ... Had a tackle for loss in 10 of 12 games played, including a string of seven consecutive games with a stop behind the line of scrimmage ... His play helped Coastal lead the league and rank 16th nationally in tackles for loss, as well as finish 21st in the NCAA in scoring defense en route to a share of the Big South championship ... 2009 (RFr.): Played in all 11 games, starting the season finale at Charleston Southern ... Recorded at least one tackle in every game, except Towson ... Recorded his lone sack versusu North Carolina A&T ... The following week (versus VMI), he pipcked off his first pass as a collegian, returning it 22 yards ... In his first collegiate start (at Charleston Southern), responded with a season-high six tackles, including a half TFL ... Added three tackles versus Clemson and Gardner-Webb.

Prior to Coastal Carolina: All-State selection by NCPreps.com and 2007 Columbus County Player of the Year as selected by The News Reporter ... Led the Stallions to a school record 15-1 mark and the school's first-ever berth in the North Carolina Class 2-A State Championship game his senior season and earned Offensive MVP honors ... Also named Star-News First Team All-Area and The Sun News "Toast of the Coast" squad his final season after posting 170 tackles, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery ... Selected to play in the North Carolina East-West All-Star Game ... Led the Stallions' defense to eight shutouts and four other games of a touchdown or less and averaged giving up just 5.9 points per game ... Three-time All-County, All-City and All-Conference selection, as well as two-time Loris Tribune Player of the Year, posting 160.5 tackles and 10 tackles for loss his junior season and 165 tackles and 12 tackles for loss as a sophomore ... Played both running back and linebacker for the Stallions, rushing for 526 yards and 12 touchdowns his junior season ... Also participated in track and field, as he ran on the 4x100-meter relay team and threw the shot and discus... Named to the Honor Roll.
