Coastal Carolina receives votes for the second time in three weeks. |

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men’s basketball team, fresh off a 5-2 start to the 2009-10 season, received votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll Nov. 30. The Chanticleers are one of two Big South schools to receive votes in the poll.
The Chants received 15 votes in the poll. Gonzaga leads the Mid-Major poll, followed by Butler in the second spot. Portland, Northern Iowa and Illinois State round out the top-five, while Big South foe Radford received 26 votes.
Coastal Carolina is in the receiving vote’s category for the second time this year. The Chants had one vote in the Nov. 16 poll.
The Chanticleers open their Big South Conference schedule Thursday, Dec. 3 against VMI in Lexington, Va. The game will tip at 9 p.m., and will be televised on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN, DirecTV channel 640).
