CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina University men's basketball sophomore Joshua Mack (Hopkinsville, Ky./University Heights) has been released from his scholarship at the end of the semester, head coach Cliff Ellis announced today.
"Joshua Mack has asked for his release from Coastal Carolina University," Ellis stated. "That has been granted and he will no longer be with the team from this point on."This year, Mack played in six games, averaging 2.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 13.3 minutes a game. As a freshman, Mack started in 26 of the 29 games he played, averaging 12.3 points per game (19th in the Big South) and handed out 2.7 assists per contest en route to earning Big South Freshman of the Year honors. He was named Big South Freshman of the Week on four occasions during the season and scored a career-best 19 points in four different games.
