Men's Basketball Back in Action
Conway - After taking a week off for the Thanksgiving break, the Coastal Carolina men’s basketball program will be back in action hosting in-state rival Wofford College Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the HTC Center.
The Chanticleers enter the game winners of four of its first six games, including two wins and an impressive third-place finish at the Island of the Bahamas Showcase which was played in Nassau.
CCU is coming off two consecutive victories and looks to add a third straight win and also looks to remain undefeated at home during the early part of the season.
The Chants are led by senior Jaylen Shaw, who scored his 1,000th career point during the first half of CCU’s win over Saint Andrews with the first of two free throws at the eight minute mark.
The Hartsville native is averaging 14 points per game and 4.2 assists per outing. Newcomer Zac Cuthbertson has been the early-season scoring leader. He sat out CCU’s game with Saint Andrews, but enters the action with Wofford coming off back-to-back 23-point and 31-point outings in Nassau, in which he was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Island of the Bahamas Showcase.

Both players are averaging 20 or more minutes per game with Labinowicz third on the team in scoring averaging 9.5 points per game and Beck fourth averaging nine points per outing. Beck also averages over six rebounds per game and owns one of the two double-doubles games for CCU this season (Cuthbertson the other).
