As we count down to tipoff, each day GoCCUSports.com will profile the lighter side of the Chanticleer Basketball teams. Today's student-athletes to be profiled are Badou Diagne and Megan Pittman.

Badou Diagne

  1. What is your personal goal for this season? My personal goal is to play the best and the hardest I can, and be part of a winning team.
  1. What got you started in basketball? When I was fourteen a new court was built in my neighborhood. That’s how I started playing basketball.
  1. What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? My plan is to get a job somewhere in business.
  1. Where is your hometown? Dakar, Senegal.
  1. What motivates you on the court? My mother.
  1. How do you help the team stay focused during the season? I like to go hard and motivate my teammates every time the spirit of the team is low.
  1. Who is your role model? Michael Jordan.
  1. What would you say to your biggest fan? Do not let somebody tell you that you will not succeed.
  1. Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Get the work done!
  1. What is your biggest pet-peeve? Laziness.
  1. What is your favorite pre-game meal? Chicken with mash potatoes.
  1. Do you have any superstitions? I do not have any.
  1. What teams are you most excited to play this year? Clemson.
  1. What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? My first game in the United States.
  1. If you could be an animal what would you be? A lion.

Megan Pittman

  1. What is your personal goal for this season? To help my team in every way that I possibly can.
  1. What got you started in basketball? All of my friends played basketball, so I wanted to play to.
  1. What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? I want to be a pediatrician.
  1. Where is your hometown? Liberty, Kentucky.
  1. What motivates you on the court? The competition and intensity of the crowd.
  1. How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Pushing each other every day in practice and always keeping our ultimate goals in mind.
  1. Who is your role model? Candace Parker.
  1. What would you say to your biggest fan? I really appreciate all of your support.
  1. Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? All day, every day.
  1. What is your biggest pet-peeve? People who complain.
  1. What is your favorite pre-game meal? Pizza.
  1. Do you have any superstitions? I drink grape fierce Gatorade every game.
  1. What teams are you most excited to play this year? North Carolina and Liberty.
  1. What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? When I got my first triple-double.
  1. If you could be an animal what would you be? A giraffe.
