CONWAY - As we count down to tipoff, each day GoCCUSports.com will profile the lighter side of the Chanticleer Basketball teams. Today's student-athletes to be profiled are Ron Trapps and Courtney Greene.

Ron Trapps

  1. What got you started in basketball? My mom.
  1. What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? Become a college or high school basketball coach.
  1. Where is your hometown? Lancaster, South Carolina.
  1. What motivates you on the court? Being the underdog.
  1. How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Making smart decisions off the court.
  1. Who is your role model? My mom.
  1. What would you say to your biggest fan? I will not let you down.
  1. Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? God First.
  1. What is your biggest pet-peeve? Disrespect.
  1. What is your favorite pre-game meal? A grilled cheese sandwich.
  1. Do you have any superstitions? I do not have any.
  1. What teams are you most excited to play this year? Clemson.
  1. What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? Scoring thirty-three points in a half.
  1. If you could be an animal what would you be? A pit bull.

Courtney Greene

  1. What is your personal goal for this season? To get better.
  1. What got you started in basketball? I just had a love for the game.
  1. What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? I would like to be a physical therapist.
  1. Where is your hometown? Manning, South Carolina.
  1. What motivates you on the court? My family and my love for the game.
  1. How do you help the team stay focused during the season? By motivating and encouraging my teammates.  
  1. Who is your role model? My mother.
  1. What would you say to your biggest fan? You can do anything you put your mind to.
  1. Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Live in the moment.
  1. What is your biggest pet-peeve? When someone taps me continuously.
  1. What is your favorite pre-game meal? Chicken.
  1. Do you have any superstitions? When someone splits poles.
  1. What teams are you most excited to play this year? UNC and College of Charleston.
  1. What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? When my high school team got our coach's 800th career win.
  1. If you could be an animal what would you be? My favorite animal: a white tiger.
