CONWAY - The deadline to renew men's basketball season tickets has been extended to give those accounts a final opportunity to retain their same seats from the previous year(s). The new deadline is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Renewals may be completed in-person at Arcadia Hall or by calling the Coastal Carolina Athletics Ticket Office at 1-843-347-TIXX (8499) or 1-877-4-CHANTS (877-424-2687).
On Wednesday, Oct. 12, the ticket office, in conjunction with the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation's (CAF) priority points system, will begin filling the available seats in Kimbel Arena with those names who have signed up on "The List" over the past season. Once it is determined how many seats are available, the athletics department will call and/or email those on "The List." If you are selected from "The List," you still must be a member of the CAF to purchase men's basketball season tickets.
Also as a reminder, being a season ticket holder this season will give you priority to both purchase and choose your seats in 2012-13 when the basketball games will be played in the new Convocation Center. (It is important to remember that since the Convocation Center will seat more than Kimbel Arena, "The List" will still be a valuable tool to give those interested preferred seating in the new facility and not just a means to fill seats in Kimbel Arena for the 2011-12 season.)
The men's basketball team will open practice this Friday and begin the 2011-12 season on Nov. 11, hosting Covenant College. Also, the Chants will welcome Southeastern Conference member Louisiana State Nov. 15 in Kimbel Arena as well as play key games versus VMI, Liberty and College of Charleston in December.
