Joseph Harris was named to the All-Big South First Team by Lindy's College Basketball. |
Sept. 14, 2009
CONWAY, S.C. – The first two men’s basketball preseason publications have hit newsstands and Coastal Carolina is prominently featured. Lindy’s College Basketball has Coastal Carolina finishing fifth in the Big South Conference, while they have redshirt-senior Joseph Harris (Lejeune, N.C./Lejeune) selected to its All-Big South Team. The Athlon’s preview has Coastal Carolina finishing in eighth, but the publication was printed before Harris’ return to the Chanticleers.
Lindy’s also lists sophomore Dexter Moore (Bluefield, W. Va./Hargrave Military), senior Mario Edwards (Massillon, Ohio/Chipola J.C.) and redshirt-sophomore Jon Pack (Dallas, Ga./East Paulding) as 2009-10 honors candidate. They list Pack as a Chanticleer to keep an eye on. Although Athlon did not have Harris on the All-Big South team, they list Harris as the fifth-best player in a non-major school for the College Fantasy Basketball section.
Coastal Carolina opens the 2009-10 season Friday, Nov. 13 against the College of Charleston in Kimbel Arena.
