CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina has signed a three-year contract with in-state rival Clemson to have the schools meet on the hardwood for the next three seasons head coach Cliff Ellis announced Thursday.
The Chanticleers will visit Littlejohn Coliseum next season on Nov. 22, marking the first time Coastal has faced Clemson since the 2002-03 season. The details for the next two games have yet to be determined, but one of those contests will be a home game for the Chanticleers.
Ellis, who has led the Chanticleers to back-to-back Big South Championships, coached at Clemson from 1984-1994 and compiled a 177-128 overall record in his tenure. He led the Tigers to their 1990 Atlantic Coast Conference title, which is the only one in school history.
