KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Coastal Carolina men's basketball player Anthony Raffa has been named to The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District First Team. Raffa is one of six players from the Big South Conference named to the District 3 teams and one of just three to be named first team.
The NABC recognizes the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC. 242 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America teams.
The Sea Isle City, N.J. native, finished the season as Coastal's leading scorer with 19.1 points per game. He ended his CCU career ranked fourth in the CCU career record books for career free throws made (304), fifth in 3-pointers made (134) and sixth in scoring (1,470). This is his second All-District award after being named second team last season. He scored in double-figures in all but two games this season including scoring 20-plus points in 16 games. He ranked second in the Big South in scoring, sixth in steals per game (1.9), seventh in field goal percentage (46.7), eighth in 3-point field goal percentage (35.3) and ninth in 3-point field goals made per game (2.1) and free throw percentage (75.6).
