CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's basketball team will face Old Dominion University in the first round of the fourth annual Post Season Tournament Tuesday, March 13. The game will be held at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va., with tipoff set for 7 p.m.

This marks Coastal's third consecutive post season tournament appearance and fifth in the program's history. Coastal (19-11) played in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) the past two seasons. Old Dominion (20-13) is making its eighth straight post season appearance and second in the CIT. The Monarchs won the Inaugural tournament in 2009, defeating Bradley 66-62.

"I am proud that this team is a part of Coastal Carolina history by making the post season for the third straight year, the first time in school history," said fifth year head coach Cliff Ellis. "The team has done a lot of good things this season and is being rewarded for a second-place finish in one of the toughest years in the Big South."

Ellis will be making his 22nd post season appearance sending eight teams to the NCAA tournament, 13-NIT bids and his first in the CIT.

"Old Dominion is a tremendous opponent playing in a conference (Colonial Athletic Association) that has sent two teams to the Final Four over the last six seasons. I am familiar with the ODU program from when they played in the Sun Belt conference and they have always been a strong opponent."

Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 12 at noon in the Constant Center box office, and online at All tickets will be general admission, at $10 for adults and $5 for youth, military and senior citizens.

The Coastal-Old Dominion game will be broadcast live on 100.3 The Team with Matt Hogue on the call. For more information check Coastal Carolina's official athletics website at
