Men's Basketball To Find Out NIT Opponent Sunday Night

The Chanticleers are making their first-ever NIT appearance and first postseason appearance since 1993.

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men’s basketball team will find out who, when and where it will play its first round Postseason NIT game this Sunday, March 14 at 9 p.m.  The NIT Selection Show will be broadcast on ESPNU.  The 30 minute show will unveil the brackets and the 32 teams selected to play in the NIT.

 

This will be Coastal’s first-ever Postseason NIT appearance and the first postseason game since the 1993 NCAA Tournament. 

 

Coastal Carolina is coming off a 28-6 overall record, its first Big South regular-season championship in 19 years and a berth in the Big South Tournament championship game for the first time since 2006.  The Chants had two All-Big South First Team members and the Big South Coach of the Year in Cliff Ellis.
