CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's basketball team travels to Southern Conference member Western Carolina University Saturday as part of the Ramada Worldwide BracketBusters event. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. The game also marks the final non-conference game of the season for the Chants.

ABOUT WESTERN CAROLINA
Western Carolina is under the direction of eighth-year head coach Larry Hunter. The Catamounts have won three of their last five games but are currently riding a two-game losing streak. WCU has played a pair of Big South opponents this season including opening the season at UNC Asheville and hosting Liberty. The Catamounts went 0-2 in those games. They have just one non-conference Division I win this season, a 69-67 victory over Howard. WCU is led by Trey Sumler who is averaging 18.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Tawaski King is averaging a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game while adding 11.4 points per game.
Coastal Carolina and Western Carolina have met six times on the basketball court. CCU holds the series lead at 4-2. The Chants have won three-straight against the Catamounts including their last meeting in 2002. Coastal took down WCU 77-72 on Nov. 22, 2002, in Cullowhee, N.C., to open the 2002-03 season. CCU is 2-1 all-time in Cullowhee. Western's last win over the Chants came on Jan. 22, 1990, in Conway, 85-79.

Coastal Carolina is 4-3 in games played on Feb. 23 including 2-3 on the road. The Chants most recent Feb. 23 game came last season at Liberty, the Chants fell 61-57. Coastal's last win on Feb. 23 came in 2006 at Liberty, 78-61. The Chants have won two of their last three Feb. 23 games.
RAMADA WORLDWIDE BRACKETBUSTERS
Coastal is 1-1 in BracketBusters games including an 83-66 victory over Canisius on Feb. 17, 2007, and a 77-71 loss to Tennessee Tech last season. CCU's game with Western will mark the Chants first road game in a BracketBusters event.
ALL HE DOES IS WIN
Senior Kierre Greenwood became the winningest four-year player in Coastal Carolina men's basketball history with CCU's win over Presbyterian on Feb. 13. Greenwood has now been a part of 88 wins which is the most by any four-year player in Coastal Carolina history. CCU's record with Greenwood on the roster is 88-37. The previous best four-year stretch was 86-45 from 2008-12.
CRASHING THE BOARDS
The Chants have out-rebounded all but five opponents this season. CCU leads the Big South and is 23rd in the NCAA in rebounding margin at +6.2. Coastal has two players ranked in the top-20 in rebounding in the league, seventh-ranked El Hadji Ndieguene and 16th-ranked Michel Enanga.
