CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Freshman guard/forward Michel Enanga of the Coastal Carolina men's basketball team was named The Crons Brand Big South Conference Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday. The honor is Enanga's first weekly honor in a Coastal uniform and it is the first Freshman of the Week honor for a Coastal men's basketball player since Feb. 28, 2010 when Kierre Greenwood was given the award.
Enanga averaged 11.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in two games off the bench for the Chanticleers. He notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, and added a pair of steals in Coastal's win over Charleston Southern. Enanga then had 10 points and five rebounds at High Point. For the week, he was 8-of-13 from the floor, 3-of-3 from three-point range and 3-of-4 from the line.
The Chants return to action Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. as they travel to Presbyterian College for a Big South Conference South Division match-up.
