CONWAY - Anthony Raffa has been named to the CollegeHoopsNet.com January Big South all-conference team, selected by John Teitel. This is the second selection for the junior after receiving the same honor for the month of December.
In addition to being named player of the month, Raffa was selected as the Big South Player of the Year by the same publication.
The Sea Isle City, N.J., native leads the Coastal offense with 18.1 points per game, which ranks fourth in the Big South. Raffa leads the team in minutes played while tied for first in the conference with 2.24 steals per game.
Raffa eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark on Jan. 26 against Presbyterian. He followed his 19-point performance with a career-high 32 points last Saturday against Gardner-Webb. Raffa reeled off 14 straight points for the Chants as they overcame a nine-point second half deficit to defeat the Runnin' Bulldogs 70-56.
Coastal (16-5, 9-2 BSC) plays host to Charleston Southern on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. in Kimbel Arena.
