Patrice Days has joined the Coastal Carolina men's basketball coaching staff. Days comes to CCU after spending a season at Southern Utah University.
Before landing at Southern Utah, Days was an assistant coach at Wright State where he worked with player development, daily practices, scouting and recruiting. He also spent time at Wright State working as an academic coach for student-athletes.
Days got his start in full-time collegiate coaching as an assistant coach at Abilene Christian University.
Before joining the ACU Wildcats, Days was an assistant coach at Arlington County Day School in Jacksonville, Fla. He helped lead the team to a 30-4 record during the 2012-13 season. He was also an assistant coach at Mack Prep, and was a graduate assistant at UNC Charlotte.
He spent some time at New Orleans, his alma mater, as a student manager.
After graduating from Piney Woods High School in Mississippi, he signed with Southern University (La.) of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. After a season at the Baton Rouge institution, he went on to spend a season at Caldwell (N.C.) Community College before moving on to New Orleans.
In 2010, Days became a graduate of New Orleans with a degree in interdisciplinary Studies, with a minor in both business and education.
