CONWAY - Kevin Woodall Jr., was selected in the 10th round (303rd overall pick) of the Major League Baseball Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Since 2000, Woodall is the 17th Chanticleer to be drafted in the top 10 rounds that was not drafted out of high school. A Chanticleer has been selected within the first 10 rounds of the Major League draft for 11 consecutive seasons and, with Lancaster, a total of 20 Chanticleers have gone within the first 10 rounds over the same span. Since 2007, 46 Chanticleers have been drafted, including 13 over the last three seasons.

• Despite battling the flu at Arkansas State, tied a CCU single-game record with 5 runs scored in game 2 at Arkansas State ... Was 3-for-4 with 6 RBI and 2 HR ... Was 1-for-5 with a double in the finale.
• Was 2-for-5 with 2 RBI and run scored in series opening win over Texas State ... In game 2 of series, hit a 3-run home run.
• Played well at Georgia Southern, going 5-for-16 with 1 double, 2 HR, 5 runs and 4 RBI ... Had at least one hit, one run and one RBI in all 3 games.
• Had 3-for-4 game wasted in 11-6 loss in South Alabama opener ... Had a 2-run single to help break open the 12-0 series finale win.
• Was 2-for-4 with a sac fly at Wake Forest ... Both hits, ball came off bat at 108 mph.
• After 0-for-5 in the opener, had a hit, run scored and walk in both games of DH, including a home run in Game 1 for 1-0 lead.
• At UNCW, had RBI single in the 13th to give CCU 1-0 lead.

GAME 1, was 1-for-4 hitting a hit 2-run double while walking twice and scoring twice ... GAME 2, was 2-for-3 with a hit 2-run HR, walking twice and scoring 3 times .. GAME 3, was 3-for-5 with 4 RBI, hitting a 2-run HR and a 2-run single while walking once and scoring four times.
• After going 0-for-4 vs North Carolina, was 5-for-9 versus in the Little Rock series with three runs, three RBI, 3 walks, double and home run ... Did most of his damage in game two - CCU's 6-4 win - as he went 2-for-2 with 2 walks, double, home run, 3 runs, 3 RBI and stolen base.
