Final Stats

MYRTLE BEACH - A great pitcher's duel between Coastal Carolina and Radford could not be complete Friday due to severe thunderstorms. The game was postponed in the middle of the eighth inning with the game tied 0-0. The game will conclude on Saturday at 4:30 with CCU's Jacob May leading off the bottom of the eighth.

For Coastal, starter Ben Smith left after six innings, allowing one infield hit in the second and two walks with nine strikeouts. Patrick Corbett avoided a jam in the seventh, leaving a runner on third before retiring the side in order in the eighth before the game was stopped.

For Radford, Tyler Costello had gone the distance, scattering seven hits over seven innings with three walks and three strikeouts. Costello avoided a bases-loaded jam in the fifth and a first-and-third jam in the sixth.
