2011 (Jr.): Named second team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District 3 and Academic All-Big South, posting a 3.97 GPA in physics ... One of the few Coastal players to get off to a hot start with the new bats, posting a .429 average (3-for-7) with a double, home run and four walks in his first three games ... Started the first two games of 2011 and came off the bench in the 16-inning marathon with Indiana in game three ... In the top of the 16th, injured his left knee in a play at the plate, what proved to be the winning run for the Hoosiers, and would miss the next 18 games ... Made his return to the lineup at The Citadel (Mar. 23), going 0-for-2 but reached base twice as he walked and was hit by a pitch ... Was 1-for-2 with a walk in the exhibition with the Texas Rangers ... Raised his season batting average 39 points to .300 as he went 4-for-11 in the Liberty series ...
