2017 (So.): Played in 47 games, starting 31 ... Prior to entering starting lineup the last half of the season, was second on the team with 10 pinch hit appearances … Started 25 of the last 26 games, including each of the last 24 ... Collected 33 of his 37 hits for the season over that 26-game span … Had a hit in 18 of his last 23 and batted .353 (30-for-85) … Reached base safely in 15 straight at one point and 20 of his last 23 … Started as designated hitter versus Western Carolina and was 1-for-2 with a walk … Was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored in the Winthrop win … Hit a pinch-hit sacrifice fly in game one at Texas State to give CCU a 3-0 lead in the seventh inning … Gave CCU a 5-0 lead in the eighth with a pinch-hit RBI in game one versus Arkansas State … Started in left field in Louisiana finale and responded by going 2-for-4 with a run scored .. Later scored what proved to be the game winner … At #12 Clemson, was 2-for-4 with an RBI ground out to score CCU’s first run ... Later singled and scored to give CCU an 8-7 lead in the eighth … Singled and scored on Seth Lancaster’s home run in the Sun Belt tournament versus Texas State.

2016 (Fr.): Played in 20 games and batted .308 … Was 3-for-7 as a pinch hitter with a grand slam … Was hit by a pitch and scored in the season opener (Appalachian State) ... Laid down a sac bunt in the 10th inning to help spur the 3-2 win versus Ohio State (2/29) … Came off the bench in the Cincinnati game to hit his first career home run —a grand slam —to cut the CCU deficit to 9-7 … Came off the bench in all three of the Stetson wins and was a combined 2-for-3 in games one and two … Was hit by a pitch with bases loaded to get an RBI versus High Point (April 24) …. Had a hit and scored in the Liberty finale.

Prior to Coastal Carolina: Named 2015 Atlantic Region honorable mention by PerfectGame.org … Selected first team Virginia 4A All-State as a junior and senior … Also a two-time first team All-Region 4A South selection … As a senior, batted .471 with a .912 slugging percentage and a .513 on-base percentage … In 68 at-bats (21 games), he had 32 hits – including 12 doubles, three triples and four home runs – with 31 runs scored and 16 RBI … Three-time first team All-Ironclad Conference selection … Named 2014 Ironclad Conference Player of the Year as a junior as he hit .481 with 11 extra-base hits for a .759 slugging percentage, 18 RBI, 27 runs scored, .575 on base percentage and 15 stolen bases … Led Nansemond River to a 19-5 record as a senior and 22-3 mark as a junior … Tabbed second team All-Southeastern District as a sophomore … Older brothers also played collegiately, Tyren at Radford and Ombri at VMI.
