Was 0-for-5 in the two Super Regional wins, but had two RBI in game one … Had three hits, including a double, at the College World Series but had a .300 on base percentage thanks to four walks and getting hit by two pitches … Proved his worth in the bottom third of the lineup by producing 20 two-out RBI (second-best on the team) and batted .339 with runners in scoring position ... Reached base safely (hit, walk or hit by pitch) in 59 of his 72 games played games, including a season-best streak of 30 games (batted .382 (39-for-102) over the span with 23 runs scored, 20 RBI and 12 walks … Was 5-for-11 with three RBI in the opening weekend ... Had CCU’s first hit in the title game versus Liberty — a double — one of just five hits for the Chants in the game … At the NCAA Regional, batted a team-best .412 at the Regional with seven hits (two doubles) ... Versus St. Mary’s, was 3-for-4 with a double ... His single in the fourth moved G.K. Young to third, to set up a squeeze bunt that gave CCU a 3-1 lead ... In game two versus NC State, doubled to start the seventh, but was stranded ... In the Championship game vs NC State, was 3-for-5 with and provided an insurance run as part of CCU’s four-run ninth in the 7-5 win ... Also tracked down the final out in deep right center … At the NCAA Super Regional, was 0-for-3 in game one but had two RBI — an RBI ground out and a sac fly ... Was 0-for-2 in game two with two sac bunts, the first leading to a 3-1 CCU lead in the fifth … At the College World Series, recorded an impressive 24 putouts in eight games … Only batted .130 (3-for-23) but scored four runs and reached base safely in seven of the eight games … Walked twice and scored twice in the Texas Tech win.
2015 (Fr.): Only played 25 games with 10 starts after injuring his hand in the season opener … Did not commit an error in 27 chanced and batted .148 (4-for-27) … Was the opening-day starter in center field but was injured late in the game ... Came off the bench in games two, five and eight before having surgery on his hand ... Returned to the lineup April 17 and was a fixture the final 21 games of the season, getting nine starts in the span and being used mostly as a late-inning defensive replacement … At #20 College of Charleston, ran down eight fly balls in just six innings, going 0-for-1 with a sac bunt that helped CCU take a 1-0 lead … Came off the bench and hit a double at UNC Wilmington … Recorded the final out for CCU on defense, an impressive catch at the wall in right center field, to secure the win at #7 Florida State … Entering the Big South Championship for year, he only had one run, two hits, two walks and a stolen base but in his start versus Winthrop in game two at the Big South Tournament, posted two runs, two hits, two walks and two stolen bases.
Prior to Coastal Carolina: Led Trinity Prep to a 23-5 record and the Class 4A Region 3 championship game … Was a four-year starter at Trinity and led the team in stolen bases each season … Named to the Futures League South All-Star honorable mention … Member of the Orlando Scorpions, which won the 2013 PerfectGame WWBA World Championship … Named All-Tournament at the 2013 PerfectGame WWBA 18-under Labor Day Classic, 2012 WWBA World Championship and 2012 World Series … As a sophomore, the Saints reached the Class 3A Regional final.
